Good Questions, Honest Answers
Everything Albuquerque neighbors usually want to know before their first visit — and if we missed one, just call.
What areas do you cover around Albuquerque?
We're based in Albuquerque (87102) and work about a 22-mile radius. That covers every quadrant of the city, from Downtown, Old Town, Nob Hill and the University area to the Northeast Heights, the foothills along Tramway, the North and South Valleys and the Westside out past Coors and Unser. We also work in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, Corrales, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo and the East Mountains around Tijeras. If you're near the edge, call and ask; for a full list we can usually make it work.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. For most jobs, a handful of photos and a quick call are all we need to give you a price. Bigger or less predictable projects, like a long stretch of fence or a room full of plaster cracks, get a free look in person. Either way you'll have a clear number before we put anything on the calendar.
Do you charge by the hour or by the job?
By the job whenever we can, so you know the cost before work begins. For open-ended to-do lists we agree on a rate and a rough scope together up front. If something goes faster than planned, you pay less, not more.
Are your pros licensed and insured?
Yes. The work is done by insured local pros who hold the licenses and registrations required in New Mexico for the job at hand, so electrical and plumbing connections are handled by licensed tradespeople. Ask us anything before we start.
What kinds of jobs do you take on?
The everyday repair and upkeep list: drywall and plaster patches, door and lock adjustments, TV and shelf mounting, furniture assembly, ceiling fans and light fixtures, dimmers and smart switches, faucet, toilet and disposal repairs and replacements, fence, gate and yard-wall fixes, canale and gutter cleaning, pressure washing, paint touch-ups, garage storage, smart home devices and seasonal upkeep like cooler startups. Hand us the full list, small items included, and we'll build a single visit around it.
Can you help with my swamp cooler in spring and fall?
Yes, it's one of our most-requested seasonal visits. In spring we reconnect the water line, swap in fresh pads, check the float, pump and belt, and clear out anything that nested in the housing over winter. In fall we drain the pan and lines, disconnect the supply so it can't freeze and split, and cover the unit or close the vent. We'll also tell you honestly if an aging cooler is near the end of its life.
Can I text a photo of the problem?
Please do. One close-up and one wider shot, plus a sentence about what's going on, is usually enough for us to understand the job and often to quote it firmly. That way the right parts are already on the truck when we pull up.
How far out are you booked, and how do I schedule?
Phone us or fill out the contact form with your address and a few words about the work. You'll get a firm two- or three-hour arrival window, and a call from us if traffic on I-25 or I-40 puts us behind. Small jobs often fit within the week; longer lists can take a bit more lead time so we can block enough hours to finish everything in one trip. Monsoon and spring wind seasons get busy, so it pays to call early.
Do you work on older adobe and Pueblo-style homes?
Yes. Albuquerque has a lot of them, from true mud adobe in the valleys to frame-and-stucco Pueblo Revival houses built to look the part. We know to use breathable patching on old plaster and adobe walls, to treat vigas and wood lintels gently, and to keep water moving off flat roofs through the canales instead of letting it soak into the parapets.
Got a list? Let's shorten it.
One quick call or text gets you a real price and a real arrival time — usually within the week.
